Me and some friends have been driving on a frozen lake today, thought id share some pics
The track is approx 5km long and at one place you can reach nearly 200km/h.
The rest of the track is long curves at 3rd to 5th gear.
The car is a rusty old ´77 w123 benz fitted with rallye tires and a OM606 superturbo engine

Lots of fun!
Watch out for weak ice later on. High speed on ice requires stonger ice
than low speed.
When car moves, it generates a wave to ice. There is a specific speed which
causes resonance or something similar to ice causing ice to bend.
This may break it, even though ice is thick and safe on lower speeds.

I know about this problem but this ice is about 50-60cm thick so it should be okJarkkoN kirjoitti:Lots of fun!
