Superturbo + automatic transmission durability

What must be done to the Mercedes automatic transmission in order for it to reliably handle ~400hp/800nm?

I'm convinced that I need to seek out an OM606 from a '98+ W210 chassis car, but am unsure if the 5-speed automatic used in that car will hold up to the increased power output.

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Easy.

Ship it to Finland and ask Jarkko S to perform his magic on it.

I'm not transmission spesialist either, but other solution is to swap another transmission in there like Th350/400 or even PowerGlide. That Pg is my choice for this coming season. I dont know if Pg is a so good used at street but on quarter mile is perfect .

It just that there is some extra work to fit that in chassis.

That was uncalled for, especially with you being on a finnish UBB where people try to help your countrymen, too. I was simply referring to the simple fact that the best way to get a durable transmission is to ship it to a specialist who knows what he's doing. Jarkko S is one proven example of such.

I'm sure there are numerous shops back there in the states who can upgrade a MB tranny for a moderate cost.

Unfortunately it seems that many of the people in this forum are too uncertain of their linguistic abilities to reply on many of the messages. It's not that people don't want to help, it's the language barrier you know.

Well I appologize for what I say I got heated when you  after your comment There's nothin funny about shipping a tranny across seas to get it up specs.

And as far as language barrier this is an english forum the only replys i got back were mostly people from the US.

Again I appologize for what i say I just felt that you were mocking HoleshotHolset, most of the of the people on this forum are interested in gettin their diesel's a little more power out of them because it's capable of it.

And trust me I respect what you guys (over in Finland) have done I even post some video that came from this forum check this site out if you wanna see some performance http://videos.streetfire.net/ . Just type in "real sleeper" I post that vid. Once again i did not mean to stir any trouble just dislike it when i feel misdirected.

They change the friction plates inside tranny, they also add more plates to handle enough torque. I have heard they use plates of series500 of mercedes. Obviously they do some other modifications, like increase the pressure and some secred issues they will not told us.

I think any skilled mechanic of trannies is able to do that kind of modifications.

In my case, in the MB Vito they put 2 friction plates instead of original one plate.

So what needs to be done to the 722.3 used in the 300D for it to support 400lb-ft of torque or more? What parts should I look for?
