Hi all,
First I have to say that some things I've seen here at this forum are sick, never seen so much mercedes-benz enthusiasts together
The knowledge you show is high and few peoples know as much about mercedes engines and cars like you, specially the diesel ones.
I'm on the market to buy an CLK320cdi in Germany, and I know the engine have a little turbo, GT20..., so I want to ask if any one here have fitted a bigger turbo on the OM642 V6 320cdi?
Whats the power numbers espected?
I have a 2359 in my actual CL220CDI and I want to know if I keep it or if I buy something like the new 2260 from Audi 3.0TDI?
Thanks
Best Regards
Renato

Any one have fitted a 2260 from audi V6 3.0TDI in the OM642 to replace the 2056?
How much different the 2260 would be for fitting it on the OM642 since they are both V6?
Thanks

Hi gaiex
Are you sure, that they even are different size ?
Maybe the MB´s charger allready is 2260.
It is enough for ~300hp.
Nobody here have tried to change it.

Hi Tuikku,
How are you, and how is your C220CDI, did you have the 300 now?
I don't see any difference between Audi 3.0Tdi and 320CDI V6 engines, the MB engine I think is better, but it have a tinny turbo!
Audi stock only with repro can make more than 300Hp and MB its a bit difficult.
I didn't reprogramed mine yet, but I'm looking for what I can do now and in the future.
Here are some pics of the 2056 and the 2260 of MB and Audi:

No, not even close…
Not any progress in my own car, I haven’t done anything but drive.
…And it is so damn cold now in here.
Yes, the orig. charger is not too big at all, but gives that ~300hp.
Put two chargers in there …
And bigger cooler, the original is mainly a joke, German joke (= serious humour).
That engine has big piezo injectors, very big.
A lot of potential.

2 turbos!
1 is enough, 2 is lot of work and money, I think!
(Here in Portugal there are some Seat 1.9TDI with Bi-turbo!)
I still have warranty, but after it ends I will see what is possible to do

Just place 2 turbos there, it terminates the warranty immediately, no need to wait for that

Changing the turbo to aftermarket voids the warranty anyway so you might as well do what you want!
I agree though, twin turbos, one per bank like the V8!

Turbo (and cooler) is clearly limiting the power outcoming in that engine.
Injectors are much bigger, than for instance AMG ones.
. . . and they gives at least 60hp/cyl.
If you have DPF in there, you must first get rid of that.
