I want to install an OM603 or OM606 in my W463.
It should get about 300-350hp.
I think about OM606 with S2BG Turbo
and OM603 Pump with 7mm Myna PumpElements.
If I do not find a good OM606 I will try it with an OM603...
But which transmission should I use?
Is 722.4 from W124 300 Turbodiesel ok?

The 722.4 is not as "durable" as the 722.3. All the automatic-enthusiasts over here have said that the 722.4 suits only those Mercs equipped with naturally aspirated engine. The 722.3 can handle a bit more torque than 722.4, about 400Nms as standard. It can also be reinforced to handle the torque of an superturbodiesel.
I can't tell which engine has longer life expectancy, but some guys over here have taken those same numbers 300-350hp out from an OM603 without any problems. But if you can find an OM606, I think it's always better to have a DOHC-system and more valves. But the OM603 should be considered too, it's also a very good starting point for "super-"turbocharging.

I have w460 installed om603a with Holset Hx35w and MynäDiesel injection pump 7mm elements.
Tranny is reinforced 722.357 by Konehuolto Siekkinen, works very well.
I recommed that 722.3 transmission, because car is heavy and you get a lot of torque..
603 cost less than 606 and you should use anyway 603:s injection pump and transmission..
That type of car it´s more important to get low- and midrange power and torq. 606 is only better on hi rews and you can get more maximun bhp on top end. Ofcourse it´s depend of turboghargers size on both motors.
My holset is equipped #12 number turbine case and 54/60mm compressor/turbine wheel. I think those measurements are good compromise of low rews usability and hi rews power: It´s measured dynorun 316hp wheel power and approximately 550Nm torq.
Engine and transmission is swapped of -93 300Eturbodiesel.

because OM606 is an optimized OM603 with Intercooler, bigger waterpump...
But ok, I will try to find a good OM603...
Then I have some more space under the hood
