Der W124 wurde, als er auf den Markt gebracht wurde, völlig neu entwickelt. Er entstand auf den Erfahrungen und Grundlagen des bewährten und oft verkauften W123. Während der zehnjährigen Produktionszeit zwischen Dezember 1984 und Juni 1993 wurden am Modell viele Verbesserungen vorgenommen und diverse technischen Dinge modifiziert. Auch nach 1993 wurde der W124 gebaut, nach einem Facelift hörte er nun auf den Namen "E-Klasse". Im folgenden soll die Entwicklungsgeschichte des W124 in groben Zügen dargestellt werden und eine Übersicht über die wichtigsten Verbesserungen und Veränderungen des Fahrzeuges gegeben werden. Unwichtig zu erwähnen, das Korrekturen und Erweiterungen auch hier erwünscht sind!

Ei siihen tarkotukseen oo tollasta vielä osunnu. Varmaan valtaosa Suomalaisista puhuu/lukee englantia 60% paremmin kun Saksaa...IMO
