Somewhere down the track I'd like to put an OM605 turbo into my 190d, I plan to use the original automatic transmission, just wondering how much horsepower & torque it & the rest of the drive train can handle.

I don't know about the 190D, but my 190E has about 200 RWHP and the 722.4 started to slip at the 2-3 upshift even though I had the stiffer 2-3 valve and spring kit. The prop shaft, diff and half axles were OK. The diesel engine has more torque so the 722.3 transmission (with strong internals) is a better choice together with the bigger diff. I decided to try the manual 717.435 tranny because the 722.3 is too heavy and expensive for me.
